The New Brunswick Housing and Redevelopment Authority is a public body organized and operating according to the laws of the State of New Jersey to manage, build, own, and operate assisted and affordable housing and may act as a redevelopment authority in accordance with State law. The NBHA also operates as: The Housing Authority of the City of New Brunswick, The New Brunswick Housing Authority, and NBHA.
The mission of the New Brunswick Housing and Redevelopment Authority is to assist eligible families by providing decent affordable housing as they move to achieve self-sufficiency. The NBHA is committed to operate in an ethical, efficient and professional manner. The NBHA will establish and maintain partner relationships with its clients and appropriate community agencies in order to accomplish this mission.
The New Brunswick Housing and Redevelopment Authority serves low-income residents of New Brunswick, New Jersey by administering HUD’s Public Housing Assistance and the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formally known as Section 8). Click the button below for more information.
Rent is due the first of every month. ALL RENT PAYMENTS MUST BE MAILED OR DROPPED OFF IN OUR BOX TO THE RIGHT OF OUR FRONT DOOR OF OUR MAIN OFFICE. If payments are not received by the seventh of every month, a late fee of $25 will be added to your bill.
The New Brunswick Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board of Commissioners meetings take place on the fourth Wednesday of every month, except if a recognized holiday falls on that day or there is a change in the schedule that is publicly advertised. Click below for more information.
